Denali: Here she is! We took a trip to Talkeetna on Feb 17th - about an hour and a half drive north to see what everyone is talking about. Mt. McKinley is easy to spot on your way into town. We enjoyed just looking at the awesomeness of the mountain and enjoying the quaintness of the town. Also had some amazing pizza at the "Flying Pie" made by a Jersey guy. One of the local bars hosted climbing gear and memorabilia from climbs on McKinley. It was a great drive and one we will soon repeat. One of the locals told us of a summer festival called the "Moose Dropping festival" which takes place the weekend after 4th of July. We will just let your mind wander on that topic.
